A wetland biocentre in the floodplain of the Úslava River Near Nepomuk

The system of water holes together with a tree avenue. As a result of the activity of the European beaver (Castor fiber), a wetland biocentre was formed in the floodplain of the Úslava River which has markedly restored the retention capacity and increases the species diversity of the site. The beaver´s activity in terms of water retention in the landscape is unique and irreplacable.
