Cascade of pools in Pocinovice

In Pocinovice, north of Nýrsko, a local farmer created a cascade of pools to retain water on his land near the U Vítků Farm. The four pools in the originally straight channel at the bottom of the valley slow down the rainwater runoff from the locality. In dry periods, the pools serve as a source of moisture for their surroundings. In addition, they provide habitat for a wide range of organisms.
