Rain flower-bed in the Painter's Garden

The owners strive to manage their plot of land in a sustainable way according to the principles of natural gardening. Attention is paid to eliminating light smog and retaining rainwater. Gradually, they created a model natural garden that is better able to withstand climate change. Due to the clay subsoil, it was initially uncertain whether rainwater would seep in after filling the flower bed. If the water were to stand there for longer, it would become a breeding ground for mosquitos. After three years since implementation, the water retention by the rain flower bed can be assessed as very good. It has worked without any problems from the start. During normal rains, it retains almost all the water that would otherwise drain away without any use. The flower bed has become a small biotope that is used by small animals and the microclimate around it is more pleasant and cooler.
